"Let go and let God" has to easily be one of the most ridiculous religious phrases. Yes, these people who follow this really have let go, in the most sad and shameful way possible. They've abdicated responsibility for their problems to a fictitious entity. But, of course, there is no God, so they haven't really let go of anything and whatever burden they were carrying remains, whether they want to admit it or not.
